Olalekan Ikuomola obtained his LL.B degree with honours from the University of Lagos, Akoka,Lagos in 2011 and proceeded to the Nigerian Law School, Bwari, Abuja where he obtained a Bachelor of Law degree in 2012. Subsequently, he was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2012.

Before joining S. P. A. Ajibade & Co. in 2012, Lekan sharpened his legal research skills during internship programmes with the law firms of Templars, Wole Olanipekun & Co. and Deji Sasegbon & Co. He was also interned with the Lagos Internal Revenue Service and was a volunteer for the Dtalkshop’s Law & Policy club between 2008 and 2010. He is a past president of Tax Club, University of Lagos.

At S. P. A. Ajibade & Co., he is an active member of the Dispute Resolution, as well as the Intellectual Property Departments of the Firm. Lekan also works closely with members of the other Departments of the Firm. He was a member of the Firm’s team that proficiently carried out due diligence for AMCON in its loan on-boarding exercise towards the recovery of over N500billion Banks’ non-performing loans of existing assets for a period of over seven months. Lekan has drafted, reviewed and advised on several agreements and transactions dealing with employment related issues, mobile payments services, company shareholders, record licensing, debt recovery, intellectual property, leases, technical and management services amongst other agreements for local and foreign clients with business interests in Nigeria. He is involved, on an on-going basis, in trademarks & designs registrations, advising and representing clients on debt and asset recovery cases, recovery of possession of properties, aviation claims, commercial dispute resolution cases and incorporation of businesses. His areas of interests include intellectual property, commercial dispute resolution and corporate law practices. He is a member of a team of UK, US and Nigerian law firms currently pursuing multi- million dollars claims (arguably the largest claim in fatal accidents cases in Nigeria) on behalf of several families, against a local airline operator and the estate of its pilot whose airline crashed in Lagos in 2012.

Lekan Ikuomola has attended and participated in several local and international training programmes, workshops and conferences some of which include Corporate Finance Training for Lawyers (CFEL Levels 1, 2, & 3), Training on Bonds, Section on Business Law Conferences, Nigerian Debt Capital Markets Conference, Legal writing workshops, Tax Conferences, International competitions, amongst others.

Lekan is a pivotal member of S. P. A. Ajibade & Co’s award winning Dispute Resolution Team of the year at the Esquire Legal Awards for 2016, as well as being a member of the Dispute Resolution Team ranked top four in Nigeria by Law Digest Awards 2016.

In his spare time, Lekan enjoys playing and watching football, stage plays and hanging out with friends.
